This week’s Newbie Net was hosted by K2FX, we talked about computer RF interference, its sources, and how to reduce it. The six steps: 1: Find where RFI is strongest, 2: Disconnect mouse, serial cables, video cables, power cable, etc, then turn on computer and see RFI increases, 3: Connect things sequentially, note the increase of RFI. 4: Turn on monitor, note increase in RFI, run text + graphic modes. 5: Reconnect radio to powersupply, note RFI increase. 6: Disconnect antenna, note RFI presence.
