J-Pole, originally uploaded by maxkelley.

Hey all, here’s a little personal update to the blog.. I built a copper-pipe J-Pole for 2 meters, works fairly nicely… Have it mounted on a vent pipe that’s sticking out of the roof. Design from http://www.eham.net/articles/2418.. works somewhat on 70cm as well, with a decent SWR (around 1.4). The feedline is clamped and adjustable using pipe clamps, a bit easier than soldering directly.
