		<description>Hi, Max,

I heard WB8ROL this past Sat nite during the vhf contest (around 50.123) but he was gone
by the time I was ready to answer him !! Very nice but I had my first Olivia qso with N0RW/2 later on 6m. I am pleased with the robustness of Olivia and have been using it on my Vista laptop (HRD
software.) I did unix with Slackware and Solaris (Business) system admin and c-programmer for a
living for about 15 years -- now retired. ( hi hi ) I am thinking of setting up another unix station with
Solaris on a Sun platform and Linux on some &#039;86 machines. My basic thrust here was to get pactor
and Airmail running on HF for email on the road in our RV when outside wifi range. Which has
happened when we were on vacation -- even in Florida! Have had situations where -- &quot;Hey you are
not a local resident, you can&#039;t use the library terminal.&quot; Have had APRS running for over a year and
it is interesting to watch the tracker. My wife got her license just over a year ago so she and I
can keep in touch in town and the malls!

Found Olivia very interesting. Worked about 20 states and 6 countries on RTTY / PSK over the last month or so with out trying.
