A fairly evil number

Tuesday, August 15th, 2006

Tis the number of evil.. 13! August 16th is tommorow (assuming you’re over here on my side of the timezones) and guess what?!?!?! I’m turning 13! Yaywhoo! It also happens to be the same birthday of my good friend Nick Chiapperini, who works alongside myself on the Willink Morning TV Show. Good times. Anyways, I might go to bed early tonight. Dad said that I can get whatever I want from the neighbor’s garage sale as a birthday present, so I better wake up early and get the earlybird deals!!! Yaywhoo yippee!

Mi dispiace, Nonno

Wednesday, August 9th, 2006

“Pronto,” my Nonno said, once he realized the person on the other end was from Italy. It was our relatives. I don’t know much Italian, but when I heard “morta”, I knew that it wasn’t good. His sister had died, at 92. It was a short phone call, just about 30 seconds. After he hung up, he said, “I always hear about them dying, but never I see. When my brother died in Africa, I no see. Now, is the same.” He knew she wasn’t feeling good, but this just stopped everything. Emmie didn’t understand it, and went back to watching her cartoons. Me dispiace, Nonno.
